| About us: I remember when I first started smoking cigars, and getting my first humidor. (Thanks Rick!) I remember my excitement filling it with wonderful cigars from around the world. I found there was no place in my area to get quality cigars at a fair price. And when I ordered on the Internet , or by mail, the customer service was non existent or just plain bad! It seemed that once some of these huge warehouse joints get your money, they no longer care about you. So, I started inventorying my own cigars. And after a couple years, I boasted the largest personal humidor around! I have since met my beautiful bride from Brazil and it's because of her, that MD Cigars has become what it is today. Folks,
Today at 04:50 I placed my third order from MD Cigars, and I was thinking about my order and I came back to your web page to just look around, And I found the mail that you got and the photo's of the men overseas right now and I want to Thank the Two of you for how you take care of them. I was in the Army for just over 18 years, and I can tell you from This Vet. hearing how you take care of them and the service that you give to them, I started to cry. Because there stories touched me very much, Because of wounds I got in Africa in 93 I'm not over there with them and I wish I was, Well Because of all the good service I get from you and the service you give for them in Iraq, I will be getting my Cigars from you only for now on. Dear
Mr. Byelick, Thanks for asking my preference. I'm currently serving in Iraq. I've been meaning to write you an email to thank you for having great service. A lot of the other cigar companies wouldn't ship out here, and an order I sent through Thomson's before I heard of your company still isn't here. Somedays the only thing that's gotten me through a tough day, or recover from a firefight has been a nice cigar with a buddy. I lost my other humidor when my humvee got hit with an IED. So I'm glad you're service is so speedy. Thanks again and keep up the good work. Know that your commitment to your customers does not go unnoticed. Sincerely, Spc. Joe Gallagher 119th MP Company
Dear
Mr. Byelick,
"Awesome! Thanks for the great sticks! I have never had anybody take care of me the way you have for my cigar needs, your service was outstanding and I will be back for once I smoke these. Thanks again. " David Corbin of Performance Technology Group.
I just thought you ought to know that in the middle of the Kuwaiti desert, with an almost certain war looming, the happiest of events occurred tonight that bonded the members of the task force together. Your generous contribution was a major factor in ensuring that all members were part of the team, sharing cigars, carols and stories over the comforting coals of the fire. Something seemingly so small as some cigars truly made our evening special, and for this we all thank you. You will always have friends in the Desert Rogues, and if you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to ask. Merry Christmas! Very Respectfully, A. Puckett
Hello,
Dear
Mr. Byelick, I was looking on your site for customer feedback but couldn't find it. Please feel free to post the following in the event I missed it. I just received my cigars today and although I haven't had the chance to sample them (this is a new brand for me) I just wanted to commend you on the following: a. your packaging of a box within in box was a great surprise and deeply appreciated as I have received singles in the past and the priority shipping box was crushed along with the cigars inside. b. your attentiveness to respond swiftly to my email questions was outstanding rapid informative and very pleasant. You can be assured of continued business Regards Mark J Weinberg
I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that I received my order and I'm very satisfied. I appreciate that you honored all of my special requests, and I'm looking forward to trying the cigars. The order arrived in excellent condition and appeared to be very well packed. I'm amazed at how quickly it reached me: I placed the order on Thursday afternoon and it arrived on Saturday afternoon. Great timing! Thanks for the excellent service and the great freebies (T-shirt and Perdomo fresh-rolls).
Habanna 2000 Review by Mayhem Pre-Light: Nicely constructed with a veiny wrapper. A little soft in the squeeze test, but not bad. Pre-light draw was completely effortless. Smoking: Again, an effortless draw and a very gratifying volume of smoke. Very smooth. Could tell that it was a H2000 wrapper (which I am a definite fan of). Decent blend, but a bit on the mild side. It really needed the spice of the H2000 wrapper to give it some character. If I had any input to the manufacturer, I would recommend this very same blend in a smaller ring gauge, say 43. A little tang at mid-palette, which I found pleasing. Burn got uneven at times, but slowing down on the puffing was all it took to correct itself. No touchups were needed, but I did so once, because I was at a boring part of the movie I was watching. Nice finish, which is my way of saying, "I nubbed it." Conclusion: Damn good cigar. At $39 a bundle, I'd say it's the next Connie 84 waiting to happen. It could have been a little "heavier" but, (a) it is a bundle cigar and (b) I haven't aged it at all. Who knows what a month or two in my own controlled environment would have done for it. I will probably be able to answer that myself in the near future. I still have others from MD to review, before I make up my mind about any potential purchases, but I have the feeling Mr. Byelick will be getting an order from me soon.
